Inside Schizophrenia
Get in Touch
We like hearing from readers. Many of our articles began as a question somebody sent in, and many corrections have come from people who read more carefully than we did that week.
How to reach us
Email is the one channel we use. Messages go to a shared inbox that the three writers read:
mail@insideschizophrenia.com
You can also use the short form on this page. It does not send anything by itself; it simply opens your own email program with the message ready to go, so nothing is stored on the website.
There is no phone number and no office to visit. We are a small, remote team, and email lets us give each message proper attention.
Good reasons to write
- Corrections. A fact that has changed, a step that does not work, a confusing sentence. Tell us which page, and where you saw the newer information if you can.
- Topic ideas. An everyday health question you could not find a clear answer to, for example something about teeth, a pharmacy visit or keeping a home smoke-free.
- Questions about an article. If something we wrote was unclear, we would rather explain it than leave you guessing.
- Permission requests. If you would like to reproduce more than a short quote, ask first; the details are in our Conditions of Use.
What we cannot help with
We are writers, not health professionals. We cannot comment on your symptoms, look at photos of teeth or skin, interpret test results or recommend medicines. Please do not send personal medical details. For those questions, your dentist, pharmacist or GP is the right person, and in an emergency contact your local emergency number.
What happens next
We aim to reply within a week, often sooner. Corrections are looked at first. If your question would help other readers, we may answer it in an article or on Ask Us Anything, always without your name or any details that could identify you.
How we treat the emails we receive is explained on How We Handle Data. In short, we use your message only to reply and do not add you to any list.
Make it easy to reply
Details that speed up an answer
- Which article you are writing about, by title or link
- What looked wrong, unclear or out of date
- Where you saw newer information, if you remember
- Your question in one or two sentences, without personal medical details
About replies
A person opens every email
We are a small team, so answers can take a few days, but nothing is filtered out by a robot.
When a question would help other readers, we may turn it into an article, never with your name attached.
